I really want to provide this game for free, a lot of it was made using the advice and code the indie community has provided to me and not to mention the encouragement and support I have received from the gaming community at large. But I like food and have spent a lot of time on this game and would like something material in return, as such this probably is the best compromise for all of us.
Here is the draft of the EULA, it is essentially an extension of the Gamer Bill of Rights =)
EULA
1) All rights defined in the latest revision of the Gamer Bill of Rights apply (see here for explanation and list)
2) If you decide to download the full version of the game you should pay any amount of money you believe is worth paying for the game.
3) You are given full rights to copy and distribute the full version of the game offline to friends and family at no additional expense. Commercial reproduction however is not allowed nor is mass distribution (such as Magazine cover DVDs). If you would like to distribute the game ‘en mass then distribute the demo.
4) If linking to the demo of the game online you must link to the games product page which will always have a live link to a game demo.
5) If you find any bugs or have suggestions, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CONTACT ME AND TELL ME.
6) As an extension to the gamer bill of rights, so long as the game has an active community (which I will host on a forum) I, as the developer, will provide support, new features and bug fixes as requested by the community.
7) You are free to modify the game as you wish, however modifying code and game assets which do not belong to me is subject to the original owners permission and license. Every effort will be made to identify such code and game assets which are licensed from third parties. When in doubt as to ownership, contact me.
That is all.
Yes it’s a draft, I’d like your opinions on it, what should be changed or modified. Too short? Well yeah, that’s kind of the idea ^_^
And since I like showing the fruits of my labor off:

A few ideas:
1) You might want to define a certain version of the GBoR to abide by. That way if they, a third party, changes something you really disagree with, you don’t have to abide by it. You can upgrade as you wish.
2) Define Mass Production a bit more. Is torrenting allowed? Etc.
3) “As long as there is a community” could potentially be really long. Give it an end date at which time you’ll reevaluate?
Those are all my thoughts. I’m sure there are other things as well, but I like the idea in general. Good luck with the game!
